Amiens, France

A Tulsa Sister City Since 2005

Partnership Chair: Philippe Bled

Honorary Ambassador: Councilor Phil Lakin

  • Amiens is located in the Picardie region of northern France along the Somme River. It is also home to the largest Gothic cathedral in France, floating gardens, and vibrant cultural scene. The city is a regional center for arts, innovation, and education.

  • The Amiens logo features the outline of the 13th-century Amiens Cathedral, a UNESCO World Heritage site that symbolizes the city’s history and resilience. Its soaring Gothic silhouette reflects Amiens’ cultural identity, while the green color represents the city’s famous floating gardens, waterways, and long tradition of horticulture. Given Amiens’ major green thumb and its spirit of renewal, the grass-green palette is a natural fit.
