International Women of Courage Visit Tulsa

In March 2023, Tulsa Global Alliance welcomed International Women of Courage honorees Alba Rueda of Argentina and Doris Ríos of Costa Rica during their visit to Tulsa from March 11 to 15.

As part of their International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) experience, the delegation met with local organizations including the Community Service Council, Tulsa Day Center for the Homeless, and YWCA Tulsa. These conversations focused on community services, advocacy, and support systems addressing housing stability, equity, and social services.

The visit also included time with Rodger Randle and highlighted shared approaches to advancing human rights, gender equity, and community-based solutions through global exchange.
