Celle is a historic city in Lower Saxony, known for its old town and more than 480 restored half-timbered houses. With an area population of about 230,000, it offers strong economic resources and a thriving tourism sector.

The Celle logo captures the rounded outline of the city’s 15th-century castle, one of Celle’s most recognizable landmarks. Its soft, floating shape reflects the castle’s gardens and parkland, which surround the building on all sides.
