Barbara Conrad Honored with Cross of the Order of Merit
Barbara Conrad, a longtime Tulsa Global Alliance member and dedicated supporter of the Tulsa–Celle Sister City Partnership, was honored by the Federal Republic of Germany with the Cross of the Order of Merit. The award recognizes her instrumental role in founding the German American Society of Tulsa (GAST) and her enduring commitment to strengthening German cultural connections in Tulsa.
The Consul General of Germany in Houston presented Barbara with the award on January 27 during a special ceremony held at the German American Society of Tulsa. Her vision and leadership helped lay the foundation for decades of cultural exchange and community engagement between Tulsa and its Sister City of Celle.
