Third Sister Cities Sign Dedicated at River Parks
Tulsa Global Alliance dedicated the third Sister Cities directional sign on October 20, 2022, adding a new landmark celebrating Tulsa’s international partnerships. The sign is located in River Parks at 68th and Riverside Drive, a highly visited area that highlights Tulsa’s commitment to global connection.
The ceremony included remarks from TGA Board Chair Dr. Ruby Libertus and City Councilor Jeannie Cue, who spoke about the importance of Tulsa’s Sister Cities program and the community relationships it fosters.
TGA was honored to welcome special guests from the Muscogee Nation, including Principal Chief David Hill, Second Chief Del Beaver, and several Muscogee Nation princesses, who offered blessings and shared elements of their culture as part of the dedication. Their presence underscored the significance of sharing diverse cultural traditions as part of Tulsa’s global story.
The new directional sign stands as a visual reminder of Tulsa’s nine Sister Cities and the people-to-people diplomacy that continues to shape the city’s international connections.
