Israeli Film Screening and Reception at Circle Cinema

Circle Cinema hosted a special evening on Tuesday, December 8, featuring a farewell reception and a screening of the Israeli film “Apples from the Desert” with English subtitles. Community members gathered from 6 to 7 p.m. for the reception, which was free to attend, followed by the film screening, with tickets available for ten dollars.

The event coincided with the visit of six students and two teachers from Amal Nofarim School in Tiberias, who spent the week at Carver Middle School for the first student exchange between the two schools. During their time in Tulsa, the students shadowed their Carver hosts, visited the Mayor’s Office, participated in a tree planting project with Up With Trees, and were welcomed at several community gatherings.

The reception at Circle Cinema provided a warm sendoff for the visiting delegation and offered the Tulsa community a meaningful opportunity to experience Israeli storytelling through film.
