Focus on Canadian Business Opportunities
In April 2017, Tulsa Global Alliance hosted Focus on Canadian Business Opportunities, an international business seminar designed to help Oklahoma companies better understand trade and economic connections with Canada, the state’s largest international trade partner.
Held at the Gilcrease Museum, the seminar brought together area business leaders, trade professionals, and international representatives to explore Canadian importing and exporting, best practices for cross-border business, and opportunities for collaboration between Oklahoma and Canadian partners.
The program featured remarks from visiting Canadian officials, including Sara Wilshaw, Consul General of Canada, and Delon Chan, Consul and Trade Commissioner with the Consulate General of Canada in Dallas. Representatives from organizations actively engaged in Canadian trade also shared their experience and insights with attendees.
The seminar was open to businesses at all stages of international engagement, from those considering Canadian trade for the first time to organizations already operating across borders in manufacturing, technology, consulting, and related industries.
Focus on Canadian Business Opportunities reflects Tulsa Global Alliance’s role in convening international business conversations that connect Tulsa and Oklahoma to global markets, partners, and perspectives.
