Tulsa Receives Caja de Agua Gift from San Luis Potosí
Tulsa Global Alliance is honored to share that Tulsa has received a Caja de Agua (water box) from our first Sister City, San Luis Potosí. This meaningful cultural gift represents the deep and longstanding friendship between our communities.
A special thank-you goes to Melton Trucking Lines, whose generous in-kind support made the transportation possible. The Caja de Agua arrived in eleven large crates weighing a combined four tons and was safely delivered to the Tulsa Botanic Garden, where it will be carefully assembled.
Once complete, the water box will stand approximately eight and a half feet tall, becoming a striking addition to the Botanic Garden and a lasting symbol of our connection with San Luis Potosí. The installation will offer visitors a chance to learn about the city’s heritage and celebrate the shared history between Tulsa and its very first Sister City.
More details about the assembly process and dedication event will be shared soon as this exciting project moves forward.
