TU and UASLP Launch New JumpStart Exchange Program in San Luis Potosí

The University of Tulsa (TU) has finalized a new academic partnership with the Autonomous University of San Luis Potosí (UASLP), paving the way for TU students to study in San Luis Potosí through a newly created JumpStart exchange program. The collaboration strengthens academic ties between Tulsa and its first Sister City, expanding opportunities for global learning and cultural exchange.

Members of TU leadership — Vivian Wang, Bruce Willis, and Jennifer Airey — traveled to San Luis Potosí on January 10 to attend UASLP’s celebration marking 100 years of autonomous university status. During the visit, they formally signed the partnership agreements that will launch the new program.

While in Mexico, the TU delegation met with administrators, toured campus facilities, and discussed future collaborations. Vivian Wang is pictured with former San Luis Potosí Mayor Mario Leal Campos, underscoring the deep civic and educational ties between the two cities.

The JumpStart exchange program will give TU students the chance to build Spanish-language skills, experience San Luis Potosí firsthand, and engage in international study rooted in Sister City partnership.
