Beihai Partnership Chair Receives Regional Teaching Award

Tulsa Global Alliance is proud to celebrate Dr. Xinying (Alpha) Zhang, Chair of the Beihai Sister City Partnership, for being selected as a winner of the U.S. Heartland Chinese Teacher Award. Presented by the U.S. Heartland China Association, this award recognizes outstanding Chinese language educators across the Heartland region who have helped build cultural bridges through language learning.

Dr. Zhang has been a tireless advocate for international understanding and cultural exchange in Tulsa. Her work as an educator and community leader has opened doors for students to explore Chinese language, history, and global perspectives. Through her commitment to cultural education and her leadership of the Beihai Partnership, she continues to strengthen Tulsa’s connections with China and inspire curiosity about the wider world.
