IVLP Participants from Moldova Explore Multi-Ethnicity and Democratic Society
In June 2023, International Visitor Leadership Program (IVLP) participants from Moldova visited Tulsa as part of a professional exchange focused on Multi-Ethnicity in a Democratic Society. 
During their visit, the delegation toured the Cherokee Phoenix to learn about Indigenous journalism, press freedom, and media’s role in representing diverse voices within a democratic society.

The group also attended the Tulsa Global Alliance Annual Meeting at the Tulsa Central Library, where they met with Anne E. Grimes, Director of the U.S. Department of State Office of International Visitors. These conversations highlighted the importance of international exchange and dialogue in strengthening democratic values and cross-cultural understanding.
