Tiberias, Israel
A Tulsa Sister City Since 1989
Partnership Chair: Chloe Chappell
Honorary Ambassador: Councilor Lori Decter Wright
-
Tiberias is one of Judaism’s Holy Cities, located below sea level on the Sea of Galilee. Its warm climate, historic sites, and hot springs make it a popular destination for visitors year-round.
-
The Tiberias logo reflects the outline of the Sea of Galilee, Israel’s primary freshwater lake and a vital national resource. The shape comes from the water-level marker on the Tiberias Promenade, and the sea blue color represents the lake’s clear waters.
